Production in Black Inc. (P.I.B.) is a Black women-led nonprofit advancing equity, access, and creative power within the film and production industry. We build intentional pathways for emerging and second-career storytellers through training, community, and hands-on production—centering Black women behind and in front of the lens.

In an industry where marginalized creators face systemic barriers to funding, visibility, and opportunity, P.I.B. provides the infrastructure needed to bridge the gap between talent and access. Our work is rooted in community, cultural relevance, and the belief that storytelling is both an artistic practice and a vehicle for liberation.

Our signature docuseries, Production in Black, documents the journey from script to screen—preserving the creative process of Black women filmmakers as part of a living cultural archive.

At P.I.B., we strengthen pipelines, protect creative ownership, and invest in sustainable careers for storytellers who deserve to be seen, resourced, and supported.
